It’s hard to believe I’ve been writing this newsletter for a full year (with one small sabbatical)! I started with 8 subscribers. We’ve come a LONG WAY from there! I do want to take the time to thank those eight, though. They are all still with me and they support me through likes and comments and being an audience I know I can count on. And thank you to the rest of you, as well. I appreciate all of you hanging in there as we wind our way through the planning and execution of our Rockin’est Third Act!
I thought we’d take a trip down memory lane for this edition. I’ve pulled my favorite newsletter from each of the pillars. Some you may have seen. Some you may have missed. So, step out with me, will you? And let’s see what we can find in the archives.
Financial
This little beauty launched a thousand coaching sessions. OK, that’s a lie, but I do use this tool often when I am helping people organize their financials and decide whether they have enough dough to be comfortable. It’s a very comprehensive retirement calculator. If you haven’t played around with it, you’re missing out - at least you are if you’re as big a nerd as I am. Focus: Financial - The Best Retirement Calculator
Connections
If you hate exercise and love eating, this newsletter is for you! It teaches you that friendships can be physiologically as beneficial as treating your body like a temple. But, better yet? Eat right, exercise AND have good friends! Focus: Connections - Reducing the Sludge
FUN!
This one garnered 3 “likes” and a couple of comments, so it ranks as a reader favorite! The suggestion is to put your FUN on the calendar and cultivate the anticipation. That way you can have FUN thinking about having FUN before you have the actual FUN! Focus: FUN! - Netflix and Bungee Jumping
Purpose
I have a couple of Purpose newsletters that I like, but I’m going with this one because it has stories from my friends and how they found their purpose. There are big purposes and small purposes, but they all have found a way to have meaning in their retirement. And my friends ROCK! Focus: Purpose I’ll Volunteer To Tell You a Few Stories
Wellness
Let’s face it. We ALL need a little motivation to get our butts out the door and do some exercise some days. Me telling you that it’s good for you really only feels like coercion and guilt and that CAN’T be good for you. Well, what if exercise was just a means to an end that you were looking forward to? Then, it would be the fun goal that was the motivator and not me telling you you’re gonna die if you don’t do it. Better, right? Focus: Wellness - Get Up Off the Floor!
The last year has been a wild, wacky, wonderful ride! Thank you for taking it with me! And don’t get off the coaster just yet. We’ve got lots more thrills for you in the year to come!
